The Bosomtwe District Assembly on Wednesday, 15th December, 2021 marked and celebrated The World Disability Day at Jachie Training Centre in the early hours of the day around 10:30am. This was made possible by the collaboration between the Bosomtwe District Assembly and the Ghana Federation of Disability Organizations-Bosomtwe.
The theme for the year’s celebration was “LEADERSHIP AND PARTICIPATION OF PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES TOWARD AN INCLUSIVE, ACCESSIBLE AND SUSTAINABLE POST COVID 19 WORLD.”
The remarkable event was graced by certain dignitaries whom by their presence elevated the program. These dignitaries include; The District Chief Executive, The Presiding Member, All Heads Department-BDA, The Hon. Assembly Member, Jachie West, The Hon. Assembly Member, Jachie East, The Manager, NHIA, The District Director of Education, The District Director of Health, The Head Pastor, Church of Pentecost, Jachie, The Roman Catholic Priest, Pramso, All Members, Disability Fund Management Committee, The Head Pastor, Church Of Christ, Jachie, The Public Health Nurse, Bosomtwe District, The District Director, NCCE, The Principal, Jachie Training Centre, All Executive Members - GFD and All Members
The purpose of the celebration was successfully achieved and mobilizing support was also given to disabilities.
