In order to improve education in the District, the Hon. Member of Parliament and Minister of Education, the Hon District Chief Executive, the Chief of Sawua and his subjects held a gathering to commission a newly constructed 1No. 6-Unit Classroom Block with office and Ancillary facilities at Sawua D/A Primary School.
The gathering was attended by the Hon. District Chief Executive, District Coordinating Director, the District Works Engineer, the project Contractor, Nana Kwaku Amankwaah Sarkodie (Sawua Hene), the District Education Director and representatives from various stakeholders.
Hon. Joseph Kwasi Asuming In his remarks indicated that the Hon. Member of Parliament and Minister of Education, Hon. Dr. Yaw Adutwum recognizes education as the most important thing in the development of a nation and that he continues to stay committed to improving it in the district by providing infrastructure to enhance enabling environment for learning. He commended the Chief of Sawua, Nana Kwaku Amankwaah Sarkodie for his enormous support towards this goal and urged all stakeholders to commit to the cause. He also pleaded with the custodians of the project to help maintain the facility.
Nana Kwaku Amankwaah Sarkodie (Sawuahene) thanked the government for their support and promised to maintain the project and keep it in a good shape as always.
