COMMISSIONING OF 1NO. 10 SEATER AQUA PRIVY TOILET FACILITY AT ESSIPONG

As part of efforts to improve sanitation in the District, the District Chief Executive of Bosomtwe District Assembly, Hon. Joseph Kwasi Asuming, Esq. commissioned a 1No. 10-Seater Aqua Privy Toilet Facility at Essipong of Aduaben Electoral Area on Friday, 24th June, 2022.

The Assembly Member of the area, Hon. Isaac Boakye Aggrey, in his welcome address said that he is happy for the gathering and also stated the purpose of this of the ceremony. He acknowledged the DCE for this opportunity and also thanked the DCE and the Assembly for another Mechanized Borehole which is still in progress.

The Queen Mother of Essipong, Nana Adutwumwaa thanked the DCE for everything he has done for the community and whenever they call upon the DCE, he is always available to help. They thanked the DCE for the Mechanized Borehole project, and pleaded with the DCE to their aid in completion of the Community centre.

The District Chief Executive of Bosomtwe District Assembly, Hon. Joseph Kwasi Asuming, Esq., greeted on behalf of Ashanti Regional Minister, Hon. Simon Osei Mensah and Member of Parliament for Bosomtwe and Minister of Education, Hon. Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum and also the NPP Regional Chairman, Bernard Antwi Boasiako (Chairman Wuntumi). The DCE stated in his brief statement stated that, every human being needs a place to go to toilet and condemned the act of defecation. He pleaded with the community to take proper care of the toilet facility. He also talked about how to take proper account and stated that the Assembly would get 30% of the money collected and 70% would be there for the maintenance of the facility.

The DCE again talked about Layout, where every community must have a layout, thus, to get a place for market, school, hospital, cemetery, factory etc.

The DCE emphasized on building permit where an individual must come to the Assembly for permit before he or she can be able to build a house or a container. He talked about tax and pleaded with the community members to pay tax. He elaborated on security issues and the rise of Covid 19 and advised everybody to be careful. The DCE pledged 50 bags of cement in support of the completion of their community center.

The Unit Committee Chairman, Festus Amoah thanked the Almighty God for a successful gathering and also thanked the DCE for such a wonderful project. He thanked the District Engineer, Mr. Isaac Kumi for the repairs of the potholes on their road.
