A delegation led by the Honorable District Chief Executive Hon. Joseph Kwasi Asuming, District Coordinating Director Madam Agartha Ahia, Assistant Director, District Finance officer, District Engineer and District Information Officer commissioned some water projects on Tuesday, 27th July, 2021 in the following communities, Swedru, New Kokobriko, Old Kokobriko and Behenase. A ceremony was held at where the projects were located in the communities. These communities have out grown their source of water which led to the provision of the water. The people were extremely grateful to the government for such gesture and pleaded for more social amenities.
The DCE, Hon. Joseph Kwasi Asuming advised community members to take proper care of proceeds from its sales and properly managed it. Closing his speech, he urged members in each community to patronize the services and also continue to adhere to the COVID-19 protocols for safety.
The delegation then led to commission the project and opened for public use.
