MONEY DONATED TO A VISUALLY IMPAIRED MOTHER OF TWINS

The Department of Social Welfare and Community Development in collaboration with Bosomtwe Enti Foundation visited St Michael hospital at Pramso to donate money to Miss Evelyn Agyekum a visually impaired mother of twins. The Department of Social Welfare and Community Development followed up based on the report made by the hospital administration that a visually impaired girl of seventeen years has given birth to twins.

On 10th February, 2022, a visit was made to the hospital to donate an amount of one thousand Ghana cedis (Gh¢1000) to the mother. Mr Adusei, the Head of social welfare and community development, Mr Dominic Opoku Appiah the Head of Bosomtwe Enti NGO, Hon Ransford Kusi (the Head of Bosomtwe NHIS) and Donkor Esther (ASST Social Development Officer) made a visit which was led by the Chaplain of the Hospital, Rev Father Augustine Kofi Boateng. The guy responsible for Evelyn’s pregnancy fled when he realized that she was pregnant. The department is yet to trace the family of the guy.

The victim accepted the donation and was very grateful and appreciative. They said word of thank you to the Department and the Donors. The trip and donation was successful and fruitful.
