REPORT ON ORIENTATION OF ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH OFFICERS ON THE USE OF NOISE CALIBRATION INSTRUMENT

With respect to the recent complaints in the District on noise pollution, the assembly deemed it necessary to help minimize this nuisance. On the 29th and 30th November, 2022 an orientation seminar was organized for the Environmental Health Officers of the Bosomtwe District Assembly on how to use the newly purchased noise calibration instrument. Two (2) officers from the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly’s Noise Control Unit were invited to carry out this orientation exercise for the aforementioned officers.

The meeting started around 11:00am with the District Chief Executive (Mr. Joseph Asumin (Esq.)) and the Coordinating Director (Madam Agatha Ahia) in attendance. The officers from KMA, Mr. Simon Owusu started by introducing themselves whilst the officers followed. The orientation was in two folds, a theory aspect and a practical aspect.
