The Government of Ghana with the vision of increasing and improving on health sectors has through EUROGET DE-INVEST started the implementation of 9 hospital projects of which one which is a Regional hospital is situated at Sewuah, a community in the Bosomtwe District.
On Friday, 26th February, 2021 a team led by the Ashanti Regional Minister designate Honorable Simon Osei Mensah, the District Chief Executive Honorable J.K Asuming, the District Engineer, the District Information Officer, Assistant District Director and the media paid a courtesy call to the chief and elders of Sewuah community to pave way for the inspection of the 250-bed Sewuah Regional Hospital.
At the gathering, the Honorable Regional Minister designate in his speech briefly touched on the intentions of the Government to improve on the health care system in the country. Therefore, his visit was to tour and inspect the level of construction of the regional hospital. He further said the President of the republic wanted to know the stages of completion of the various hospitals being constructed in the Ashanti Region to enable the government fast track its completion hence his visit to the community.
Chief and elders in-turn praised the Government for enabling their community witness such development and further requested more of other projects to be constructed for them. The delegation was then led to inspect the site where the project was being undertaken.
At the site, the project coordinator gave assurance to the delegation and the Chief and elders of the Sewuah community that the project will be completed in May 2021 amidst some challenges he is facing at the site which he wished would be resolved soon.
