REPORT ON BOSOMTWE DISTRICT ASSEMBLY STAFF DURBAR 2022

The general framework within which local servants carry out their responsibilities is spelt out in the Local Governance Act, 2016 [Act 936]. The act contains the code of conduct, thus; a set of values and ethics that serves as a framework for public servants to work. In management’s quest to be abreast with concerns and challenges of staff of the Assembly and to find solution for an improved delivery, Staff durbar/Training Workshop was organized on 13th July, 2022 at the forecourt of the District Assembly to serves as a platform to sensitize workers on these code of conduct to ensure integrity, efficiency, accountability, competence and loyalty. The Staff durbar also provide the platform for staff to assess their achievements and challenges and the way forward.          

The durbar witnessed the present of the District Chief Executive, District Coordinating Director, Director of CHRAJ, Human Resource Director – RCC and Staff. As part of the agenda, a presentation on Code of Conduct for Public Officers as contained in the 1992 Constitution of the Republic of Ghana was made by the District CHRAJ. The Human Resource Director, Regional Coordinating Council, also presented on the Local Government Service Protocols. The durbar further provided the medium to discuss the welfare of staff members. An open forum was given for staff to share and ask question for solution.
