The Bosomtwe District Assembly had the opportunity to participate in the Tree Planting Day. This activity was organized by the government through the Ghana Forestry Commission and was held on Friday, 9th June, 2023 at the forecourt of the District Court Bosoktwe District Assembly. As part of the activities to mark the day in the District, the Assembly together with the Forestry Commission officially plant some trees in the District Capital, Kuntanase.
The planting was graced with the present of the District Chief Executive (Hon. Joseph Kwesi Asuming, ESQ), District Coordinating Director, the District Presiding Member, Reps. from the Forestry Commission-Bekwai Municipal, District Environmental Health Officer, District Director, MOFA, Kuntanase Traditional Council, Kuntanase Unit Committee Member, Kuntanase Assembly Member and Staff.
The District Chief Execute expressed his appreciation to members for been present and welcomed the rep from the forestry commission to the Assembly. He subsequently planted the first tree at the forecourt of the District Court followed by other presents members.
After first plantation, members then move into the community to continue with the plant.
