The United Nation has since 1973 declared 5th June of every year as World Environmental Day. The theme for the year’s celebration was ‘Land Restoration, Desertification and Drought Resilience’.

The event brings together nonprofits, government agencies, individuals, the private sector and media to break the silence and build awareness about the fundamental role that good menstrual hygiene plays in enabling women and girls to reach their full potential.
