
On Tuesday, 4th February, 2025 the Bosomtwe District Directorate of NCCE held a meeting to inaugurate the District Oversight Committee (DOC) of the African Peer Review Mechanism (APRM) and to elect it executive member to spearhead it function in the district. The meeting was held in the District Assembly Conference Hall and commenced at 11:00 AM. The meeting was graced with the presence of the District Coordinating Director (Special Guest), District Director of the National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE), Right to Information Officer, the Traditional Council, Imam and Other Members present.
The meeting (inauguration) was organised to mark the significant step in promoting good governance, accountability, and development within the Bosomtwe District. The committee stands to enhance local governance, public engagement, and inclusive development. Committee members, including youth activists and market leaders, emphasized the importance of making the committee effective and addressing governance challenges. Members were inaugurated and Chief Imam Abdul Rahman encouraged members to see their roles as a duty to serve and prayed to adjourned the meeting at 12:43 PM.
