NBS PROJECT INCEPTION AND VALIDATION OF VULNERABILITY ASSESSMENT

 The ‘Nature-based Climate Adaption in the Guinean Forest of West Africa Project’ – NbS funded by Global Affairs Canada on Tuesday, 7th May, 2024 in collaboration with the Bosomtwe District Assembly organized a training to Incept Project and Validate Vulnerability Assessment of the Assembly. The project is a 3-year project implemented by the World University Service of Canada (WUSC) and Centre for International Studies and Cooperation’s (CECI) as a consortium with International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN), CIFOR-ICRAF, the University of Guelph and Abantu for Development as implementing partners of the project. In Ghana two landscape was chosen for the implementation and Lake Bosomtwe benefited.  The training was graced with the presence of all Heads of Department and Unit.

The objectives of the project were to strengthen local and regional capacities for nature-based climate change adaption solutions and to foster women’s transformational leadership in the selected areas.
