
On the 12th September, 2022, the District Chief Executive together with some selected head of departments embarked on a sod cutting to begin the construction of a health center at the Abono community.
The programme was attended by the following District Officers: Hon. Joseph Kwasi Asuming (esq) District Chief Executive, Isaac Kumi (District Works Engineer), Salifu Abubakar (District Development Planning Officer), Phyllis Abrokwah (District Budget Analyst), Nadira Abubakar (District Procurement Officer), Boakye Wilberforce Awere (District Assistant Stats/MIS), Thomas Akwasi Assuah (Works Department), and Paul Kwaku Owusu (Works Department
The DCE together with head of departments visited the Abono palace and met with the chief and elders of the Abono community. The DCE gave a speech on the construction of the new health center and the benefits it will bring on the Abono community and the District at large.
Also, the District Engineer was given the opportunity to explain the architectural drawings and how the infrastructure would be to the chief and elders of the Abono community before the project was handed over to the contractor.
The District Works Engineer communicated to the Chief and entire Elders of the Abono Community that the project will take 6 months to be completed. The Project Contractor gave an assurance speech to the DCE and the chief to work within the estimated time (6 months).
