The Honorable Member of Parliament for Bosomtwe Constituency and Deputy Minister of Education, Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum with the Honorable District Chief Executive, Hon. Joseph K. Asuming, the Bosomtwe Constituency Chairman for the New Patriotic Party, Chairman Aikins, some senior staff of the District Assembly, and the media on Tuesday, 1st September 2020 toured some of the various projects executed within the Bosomtwe district.
The tour which was aimed at showcasing various infrastructural projects in the Bosomtwe District, mainly the educational projects put up by the government through the Honorable Member of Parliament and the District Assembly was to allow easy tracking and accessibility by the media.
The delegation together with the media toured and tracked some completed and ongoing projects in the district which includes; the assembly’s revenue mobilization van, chip compound at Akokofe, police post at Onwe, Vester Oil company limited an initiative under 1D1F at Deduako, a new bus and teachers quarters at St. Georges Senior High at Kuntenase, Bosomtwe Girls Senior High School at Deduako, an assembly hall, 12-unit storey classroom block and dormitory blocks at Jachie-Pramso Senior High School, STEM Academy At Jachie, Highway bridge at Adagya and a K.G and 6-unit classroom blocks with ancillary facilities at Kuntenase D/A primary, Jachie D/A 1 primary, Jachie Anglican primary, Pranyinase D/A primary, New Kokobriko D/A primary and Aputuogya D/A primary schools respectively.
The Honorable Member of Parliament in his interaction with the media after the tour, expressed his satisfaction with how the Akuffo-Addo lead government is effectively enhancing the educational system in the country. He further in his speech said, the vision of the government is to improve the system of education in the country by providing conducive environment for teaching and learning as well as increase enrollment in various schools hence the initiative to make educational facilities easily accessible to every Ghanaian child in the country. He again said not only is the government poised to making education easily accessible but also improve its’ standards in terms of quality, hence the government’s intention to construct fully equipped infrastructures in schools across the country of which Bosomtwe district is also benefiting.
Closing his speech, he thanked the District Chief Executive and the Chairman of the New Patriotic Party for their immense support giving to him and urged the media to propagate various developmental projects witnessed in the Bosomtwe district to the good people of Ghana.
The media after the tour lauded the Honorable Member of Parliament and the Honorable District Chief Executive for the great works accomplished in the of the Bosomtwe District ever since their inception into office.
