On Wednesday, 29th October, 2025, members nominated to be part of the District Disaster Management Committee were sworn as members of the committee at the office of the District Chief Executive.
Members of the Committee included The District Chief Executive (Chairman), The District Director of NADMO (Secretary), Chairman of the District platform Disaster Risk Reduction and climate change risk management (DRRCCM), The Member of Parliament, The District Director of Health Services, The District Police Commander, A Representative of Garrison Commander of the Armed Forces, The District Fire Commander, District Information Officer, The District Director of Education, The District Environmental Officer, The District Planning Officer, The District Social Development Welfare Officer.
