LAUNCHING OF COVID-19 VACCINE IN BOSOMTWE DISTRICT.
On Tuesday, 2nd March, 2021 a ceremony was organized by the Bosomtwe District Health Directorate at the forecourt of the Kuntenase Government Hospital to Launch the COVID-19 Vaccine.

The Government of Ghana with the vision of increasing and improving on health sectors has through EUROGET DE-INVEST started the implementation of 9 hospital projects of which one which is a Regional hospital is situated at Sewuah, a community in the Bosomtwe District.
One of the President Akufo Addo initiative is to make Ghana the cleanest city in Africa. To make this big dream of the president to come to pass, Juspong Group of Company Zoom Lion Ghana has constructed compositing plant at Adagya in Ashanti Region. The project was commissioned on Monday 28th September, 2020 at Adagya. A lot of dignitaries came to witnessed this occasion.
In line with Regulation 17(3) of the PFM Regulations, a Regional Budget hearing which will afford the RCCs with support from the National Teams, the opportunity to review the MMDA’s revenue and expenditure performance and the targets set for 2021-2024 taking into Cognizance Government Policies and Strategies as well as the 2021-2024 Budget Preparation Guidelines issues by the Ministry of Finance was on 13th October, 2020 held at a conference hall of the Forestry Commission, Ejisu.
On Tuesday, October 20, 2020 the Bosomtwe District Assembly commissioned a newly built Police Station for the security of the people in the Abono Community under the Bosomtwe Constituency which called in NANA OTUO ANTWI BOSIAKO II, ABONOHENE, HON. J.K ASUMING District Chief Executive, HON. SIMON OSEI MENSAH, Ashanti Regional Minister and COP KWESI MENSAH DUKU” (Ashanti Regional Police Commander) to make the commissioning a memorable one.
The people of Bosomtwe District also participated in the just concluded 2020 elections.
The overall elections within the district was peaceful and massive. Altogether, we had a total of 69,564 votes casted for presidential election and 69,169 cast in the parliamentary.
To celebrate the farmers in Ghana for their hardworking and enormous contribution towards growth and development of the country, the 36th National level Farmer’s Day was held at Techiman the capital of Bono East Region on Friday 6th November, 2020 to show gratitude to famers for their sacrifice. The various Municipalities and Districts in the country also held theirs to honour the farmers at their locality. The Bosomtwe District held its Farmers’ Day celebration at Sawuah on that same date to honour and award its hardworking farmers in the district.
In the performance of its functions, the Bosomtwe District Assembly (BDA) works through committees. The Executive Committee of the Assembly creates sub-committees to deal with specific relevant issues in the District.
The Head of Service of the Local Government Service (OHLGS) Ing. Dr. Nana Ato Arthur together with Chief Directors and Regional Co-ordinating Directors of the service on Friday 25th September, 2020 paid a working visit to Bosomtwe District Assembly (BDA)
The Honorable Member of Parliament for Bosomtwe Constituency and Deputy Minister of Education, Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum with the Honorable District Chief Executive, Hon. Joseph K. Asuming, the Bosomtwe Constituency Chairman for the New Patriotic Party, Chairman Aikins, some senior staff of the District Assembly, and the media on Tuesday, 1st September 2020 toured some of the various projects executed within the Bosomtwe district.
On Friday 11th September, 2020 a delegation led by the Honorable District Chief Executive Hon. Joseph Kwasi Asuming, District Coordinating Director Madam Agartha Ahia, District Heath Director Dr. Twumasi, Assistant Director, District Planning Officer, District Engineer, District Information Officer commissioned CHPS compound at Pipie.
